Oddball Art Monthly Challenge

banner.jpgIt is the first day of April, so that means it is time for a new challenge over at Oddball Art’s monthly challenge page.  As always the challenge is an Anything Goes, but this month’s optional fun theme is Puffy Pastel Polka-Dots.

This month there is a really fun prize for one random participant.  Need some more copics in your life…well in addition to a $10 e-gift card there are two packs of copics (pictured above) being sent to one lucky person who plays along.

The coolest part about Oddball’s monthly challenge is that you can literally make anything…card….check, ATC….you bet, little bit of wall Art….absolutely!!!  So pull out your favorite Oddball Art digital stamp and get creating.

I have been really inspired by Lizzy’s Paint with Me Sunday show projects lately, and wanted to work a little larger than I normally do.  So I printed out IMG158 Hazel’s Ready for Her Close Up  digital stamp and blew it up so it filled half a sheet of paper (5.5x 8.5 inches.

IMG_5228Now my water coloring skills are not quite that of our fearless designers so I pulled out my Zig Clean Color real brush markers to help achieve the effect I wanted with a little more control.

EK Gorman, Oddball Art April Challenge bI then pulled out some Nuvo Embellishment Mousse in Lilac Lavender and ‘watercolored’ it over the background.  Then using a polka dot stencils, I pressed more of the mousse onto the page to make ‘Puffy Polka Dots’…see what I did there.

EK Gorman, Oddball Art April Challenge aI really can’t wait to see what you do with this month’s theme.  Until then…Happy crafting!
