Musical Tag

Hey friends! I have been on a real tag making kick as of late. I always look forward to the holidays because it means that I get to make gift tags… Well this year, it occurred to me that gift tags do not need to simply revolved around Christmas. So this year I am going to play around with some all occasion tag making. To launch this fun off, I am starting with a music inspired tag. All three of my kids are in band, and needless to say music takes up a large portion of our lives.

When I saw that White Rose Crafts had a lovely Music themed sentiment stamp, I jumped all over it. The sentiment on the Find It Trading Music stamp set is simply a perfect. To see the whole haul of crafting supplies that I go along with the Music stamp, check out my first boxing of 2022 here. To see how I created this tag, scroll down. Also stay tuned for some extra savings simply by visiting this blog!

Step One: I started by die cutting a piece of sturdy white cardstock and a piece of printed paper from 13@rts Dreamland paper pad from a tag die. Using a double sided tape, I adhered the printed paper to the cardstock.

Step Two: I trimmed up a piece of Copper Ore Aspire Petallics cardstock, and embossed it with the Darice Embossing Sheet Music embossing folder.

Step Three: Using a second piece of printed paper from the Dreamland paper pad, I stamped the Music sentiment onto it using Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide.

Step Four: Distress all the pieces with the Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide. Adhere the cardstock to the tag using double sided tape. Adhere the sentiment to the tag using three dimensional tape.

Step Five: Punch a hole into the top of the tag and string a piece of Jillibean Soup Bean Stalks string onto the tag.

Step Six: Add some Glossy Accents under the raised sentiment on two of the corners.

Step Seven: Add some Abracadazzler Bead Mix in Gold Rush to the glossy accents.

Step Eight: Even out the weight of the tag with a few adhesive diamonds from the Simply Creative Adhesive Gems in Clear onto the top corner.

Step Nine: Finally, add a Kaisercraft Paper Blooms in Terricotta, adhering it with Glossy Accents.

So what do you think? Would you add a tag like this to an everyday gift? Let me know in the comments below. Until then, happy crafting.
