So I needed a quick birthday card this morning for a friend who likes a splash of glitter, but otherwise something not too girly. So today I pulled out some micro fine glitter from the Earth Glitter Palette and the bowler hat and bow tie from the Vintage Gentleman die set.
Step One: Die cut the background bow tie and bowler hat out of some 90lb White Soft Finish cardstock and the top piece of the die out of some cardstock over laid with a sheet of Clear Double Sided Adhesive.
Step Two: Add some Copper Bronze Silk Micro Fine Glitter from the Earth palette over the bowler hat.
Step Three: Add some Vintage Teal Micro Fine Glitter from the Earth Glitter Palette to the adhesive on top of the bow tie.
Step Four: Using Kids Choice Glue, adhere the piece of the dies to the bottom piece of the die cuts.
Step Five: Die cut a piece of Rust Soft Finish Cardstock with a die from the Dashing Rectangles die set. Die cut a piece of teal Thinking About Polinesia paper using the Stitched Hexagons die set. Finally, die cut a birthday sentiment from the Words 1- Celebration die set from the Cafe Au Lait Soft Finish Cardstock.
Step Six: Adhere the layers to an A2 card frame using both Clear Double Sided Adhesive and Kids Choice Glue.
Thanks for popping in and checking out this quick and simple birthday card for my not so girly female friend. How do you create cards for those you love who need something a little different. Let me know in the comments below. Until then, happy crafting.
What a great hat and tie design. Love the glitter too. With Father’s Day coming up this would be a great design too.
