There is still time to play with the current challenge going on over at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge.  Since it is a new year, or first theme challenge is exactly that…something new.  What does that mean?  Well simply, make a project with something new.  A new crafting supply, a new technique, a new goal for the new year.

For my second project, I am working on one of my goals for the new year, become more confident and successful my paper piecing skills.  It may not be a new thing, but for me it is a new skill I am trying to acquire.  For my layered card, I am using Sparkle N’ Sprinkle’s digital stamp Light Up My Life by Bugaboo.

I colored the image up with my copics and then trimmed it up.  To add a bit of sparkle, I added some sparkle pen and gel sparkle pen to the image. I layered both the focal image and the sentiment with some black cardstock, and then added some yellow printed paper.  I finished the card up with some black onyx Nuvo Drops.
