Hey…Hey…Hellooo!

So one of my crafting new year resolutions is to get back into crafting challenges.  This is use to be my bread and butter of my crafting world, constantly looking at what different challenge teams and creating around themes, colors, sketches or stash challenges.  Then life got a little crazier, and I feel out of the routine.

So I’m back in the random crafting challenge world…watch out.  I have three different projects that I am linking up to three different challenges, so bare with me while I share them.

rude ednaMy first project is a Christmas card with a bit of humor.  I know I am a couple weeks late, but I have already started creating holidays for next year, so it works.  The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is a new group to me (thanks Instagram for introducing it) and their theme for their challenge is “R is for Rude”.

princess2018I pulled out an Art Impressions stamp and colored it up up with my copics.  Then using some printed holiday paper I matted and layered the focus image onto an A2 card frame.  The sentiment (which I adore) is from Ink Roads Stamps Are You Serious Clark stamp set.  I really think the image and the sentiment were meant to go together.

ssc195My second project is a color challenge from Sunday Stamps.  I pulled out a brand new (to me) stamp set that I was treated with over the holidays to create this project.

tcbadgessfsI stamped out the Darcie Heart and Home stamp set and colored it up with my copics.  To add the shine to the syrup, I added glossy accents over the top.  I then die cut the images out, dry embossed some gray cardstock with a embossing folder, and layered everything onto an A2 frame.  I tried to use all five of the colors in the inspiration challenge, even though I think I pushed the orange to a weird place.

pp423My final project is a card I created using the theme challenge over at The Paper Players.  Their theme this week is Crazy About Critters, so I pulled out the cute stamps set from Impression Obsession.

I pulled out my brand new colored pencils (thank you santa) and colored in my stamp image.  Then I layered the image and the sentiment over some printed paper.  I love how the sentiment came out.  I feel like this is what my pets are saying when they peek up over the couch, table, bed etc. like this.ek gorman, pp423

I hope you enjoyed the couple of cards I created.  I hope you are accomplishing your New Year Resolutions, especially your crafty ones.  Happy crafting everyone!
