Well, I have decided it is officially time to start my holiday tags. I typically create Christmas Cards all year long, but the tags I will need for the holidays, I tend to create in the last few month or so of the year. But with the release of the awesome holiday sparkle blends from Doodles Paper Playground, I decided I just had to start early this year. Today I am featuring the new Reindeer Games Sparkle Blends to enhance this shaker tag.
Step One: On a piece of Yopo Paper, blend some alcohol inks. I used Poppyfield and Alloy Mined Alcohol Inks.
Step Two: Die cut the alcohol inked yupo with a holiday die. I used an older Gina Maria Designs Christmas tree die.
Step Three: Create the shaker element on the backside of the yupo and fill the opening with the Reindeer Games sparkle blends mix.
Step Four: Add extra sequins on the outside of the tag to add some sparkle. Also punch a hole at the top of the tag. Add a ribbon to fully create the tag.
Step Five: Add a holiday sentiment to the tag. I used a simple Merry Christmas stamp.
I love how this tag came out! The back of the tag is a solid piece of white cardstock and the perfect place to write the to and from. What Sparkle Blend mix would you use to create a holiday tag? Let me know in the comments below. Until then, happy crafting.
