Making Magic

Did you see the Fall and Halloween themed release of Sparkle Blends from Doodle’s Paper Playground? If not, then you are really missing out on all the sequin fun! Today I am pulling out the new Making Magic Sparkle Blend and creating a bit of a spooky skull themed shaker card.

Step One: Clear emboss a large skull and sentiment onto some trimmed watercolor paper. I used the Skuldoggery stamp set from Stampendous.

Step Two: Add distress oxide to the watercolor paper. I used Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Seedless Preserves, and Black Soot blended around the cardstock. I also blended Seedless Preserves through a stencil to create the tiny squares. Around the edges of the card I rubbed from the ink pad more Black Soot. Using a clean rag, buff any ink off the embossed image and sentiment.

Step Three: Using a craft knife, free hand card your shaker window.

Step Four: Create the shaker element and fill the window with the Making Magic Sparkle Blend. Add shaker to an A2 card frame.

Step Five: Adhere a few more bits and bobbles to the face of the card.

I just love how this one came out. I think it is the perfect amount of spooky and fun to go with this Magical mix!

How would you use the new Making Magic Sparkle Blend Mix? Let me know in the comments below! Until then, happy crafting.
