Valentine’s day is coming early to Elizabeth Craft Designs, and all the designers are sharing their projects they are making for the day of love. I tried to do something a little different with my project, using a few hearts and a lot of cherry blossoms to make a Valentine.
Step One: Die cut all the pieces needed from the Cherry Blossom Branch die set and Peek-A-Boo Love Set dies out of 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock.
: Step Two: Using alcohol markers to color the die cuts. I used copics in a muted hue.
Step Three: Trim a piece of 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock to 4.25 x 5.5 inches. Blend some ink over the trimmed piece of cardstock. I used Tattered Rose Distress Oxide.
Step Four: Adhere the die cuts to the cardstock using some Kids Choice Glue.
Step Five: Stamp the sentiment onto the card using some pink ink and the Love Sentiments stamp set. Using the pink ink outline the cardstock to give it a pink hue.
Step Six: Using some sewing thread, give the balloon a string. Add some three dimensional tape to back of the heart.
Step Seven: Adhere the balloon to the card stock. Adhere the card stock to a 4.25×5 card frame using some 6mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive.
I hope you enjoy my down played Valentine’s card. Are you making cards for your friends and family this year? Let me know in the comments below. Till then, Happy Crafting!
