Cherry Blossoms and Valentine’s

Ek Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs, Valentines aValentine’s day is coming early to Elizabeth Craft Designs, and all the designers are sharing their projects they are making for the day of love.  I tried to do something a little different with my project, using a few hearts and a lot of cherry blossoms to make a Valentine.

IMG_E8617Step One: Die cut all the pieces needed from the Cherry Blossom Branch die set and Peek-A-Boo Love Set dies out of 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock.

: IMG_E8618Step Two:  Using alcohol markers to color the die cuts.  I used copics in a muted hue.

IMG_E8619Step Three:  Trim a piece of 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock to 4.25 x 5.5 inches.  Blend some ink over the trimmed piece of cardstock.  I used Tattered Rose Distress Oxide.

IMG_E8620Step Four:  Adhere the die cuts to the cardstock using some Kids Choice Glue.

IMG_E8621Step Five:  Stamp the sentiment onto the card using some pink ink and the Love Sentiments stamp set.  Using the pink ink outline the cardstock to give it a pink hue.

IMG_E8622Step Six: Using some sewing thread, give the balloon a string.  Add some three dimensional tape to back of the heart.

Ek Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs, Valentines cI hope you enjoy my down played Valentine’s card.  Are you making cards for your friends and family this year?  Let me know in the comments below.  Till then, Happy Crafting!
