WRC Moodboard Challenge, A Second Look

JanuaryI am so excited about the brand new Moodboard challenge over at White Rose Crafts, that I thought it would be fitting to take a second look at it.  So today I am create a whole new project inspired by this rose, plum, dark blue, pale blue, mail, hearts and winter themed moodboard.  If you missed my first project, feel free to jump over and check it out here.

Ek Gorman, WHite Rose Crafts, Jan Moodboard 2 aI took advantage of the Lawn Fawn shipping event back at the first of the year, (I will have a fun unboxing video of all the goodies I got shortly) and I am playing around with some of the brand new Lawn Fawn release I picked up.

IMG_E8417I started by picking two pieces of printed paper, one from the brand new paper packs Rainbow Scallops and the other from Lawn Fawn’s Really Rainbow Collection.  I love how the colors in the moodboard are actually lined up together on this pieces of printed paper.  I adhered the two pieces to an A2 card frame, letting the strip hang over the background piece.

IMG_E8416I then grabbed the new You’re Just my Type, and stamped out the type writer and little mouse.

IMG_E8418Then Using my Nuvo creative pens in both Indigo Ink and Stormy Greys to color inthe images.

IMG_E8419I pulled out the coordinating You’re Just My Type dies set and die cut out the images.

IMG_E8420I adhere the type writer to the card frame and added some stamping from the same stamp set in dark purple (or plum) ink.  Yes I die cut out the paper from the type writer, but ended up adding it back into the type writer.  I however love how the die cut edge looks in the over all effect.

Ek Gorman, WHite Rose Crafts, Jan Moodboard 2 bFinally, I added the little mouse to the project with some three dimensional tape, and I stamped a few more little hearts onto the card frame.  I added a little Novo drops to the hearts in Pink Champagne.

Ek Gorman, WHite Rose Crafts, Jan Moodboard 2 cI can’t wait to see how you play along with this new moodboard challenge.  Make sure you add your images to the project folder in the White Rose Crafts Gallery over in Facebook for your chance to win a $15 gift card!  Until then, Happy Crafting.
