Ghost Dragon

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs Halloween Dragon aDid you see that Elizabeth Craft Designs has released a brand new collection of dies for Halloween?  Yes, you’ve read that right, a mini release for Halloween!!!  The really cool thing about this release is that you can use these new dies for more than just that awesome October holiday.

And not only did they release a collection of Halloween dies, but there is a brand new critter die.  I am in love with this Dragon.  He is just so cute!!!

I decided to make a Ghost dragon for this project, because, well, ghost dragon.

I was so excited to get playing with both the new Dragon Die and Spider Web Die that I completely forgot to take pictures while creating this card.  So I will discuss sort of how I created this card, but unfortunately there are no process photos.

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs Halloween Dragon bI die cut not only the new Spider Web die (and spiders) out of Rich Black Soft Finish Cardstock, but I also die cut a sentiment from the Words 3- Happy Holidays die set.  I also covered the spiders in some glossy accents to make them shiny.

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs Halloween Dragon dThe edges of the Dragon die pieces were blended with some distress ink and adhered with some Kids Choice Glue.

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs Halloween Dragon cI layered the new die pieces over some die cut pieces from the Stitched Indented Rectangle die.  The smaller piece was cut out of 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock and then distressed with a little Distress Oxide and the larger piece was die cut from some Rust Soft Finish Cardstock.

I am just so excited about these two releases.  I love the large spider web, and have SOOOOOO many plans for it.  Also, at this point, I think everyone knows how I feel about the critter dies and the Dragon is such an awesome addition to the crew!

Let me know how you feel about a Halloween die line release in the comments below.  Until then, happy crafting.
