AHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Colorists, it is time to ReJoice!
I am so excited. I have been anxiously awaiting for weeks now to announce this new line of stamps from Elizabeth Craft Designs!!!! This new collection of large stamp sets from Charlene Van Der Vorst is designed to be colored!!! There are 8 new stamp sets each measuring approximately 6×8 inches.
Elizabeth Craft Designs has always been known for their large collection of floral crafting supplies, but there has been a small void of flowers that you can really color and blend with. Now in this new collection from Charlene, there is not one but two different floral stamp sets (plus a holiday floral stamp set too).
Today I am actually doing a little watercoloring to share my first project using the new Garden Flowers stamp set.
I started by stamping one of the flowers from the new stamp set onto some watercolor paper. I created a mask for the flower and stamped several different leaves from the stamp set.
I love how the Garden Flowers stamp set has three different leaf stamps, and here I used two of them to create a little variety.
I pulled out my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to color up this image and realized after I finished coloring everything that I needed an additional leaf to really pop the flower. I love how you can lay a mask back over the stamped image and add another stamp if you need to.
I just love how bold the colors of the flower turned out. I finished the image with a little bit of ink blending from the Dried Marigold Distress Oxide around the edges.
I created a 6×6 card frame from a 12×6 trimmed piece of Rust Soft Finish Cardstock. I also die cut a piece of printed paper from the Wood Grain Effects paper pack using the Dashing Rectangles die set. Adhere the die cut paper to the card frame.
Finish the card off by adhere the watercolor paper to the card frame. I left this card without a sentiment so I could have an anytime card for those moments in life that you need one.
I am in love with this new stamp set. Stay tuned, because tomorrow I will be releasing another project using another flower from this stamp set, plus another new stamp set from the Charlene collection!!! Plus I have a ton of other cards created to share the rest of the new release so make sure you pop back in daily to see everything!
And if that wasn’t enough, make sure you come back later today to see a first look at the extra special mini release from Joset. I will be sharing my first project from this mini release this evening. There is all kinds of awesome spooky dies that trust me you don’t want to miss out on.
