Did you catch the theme week I had happening all week over on my Instagram Page? All week long I’ve been playing with different mediums and mermaid images, and I thought I would recap my week here!
MondayOn Monday I played with these lovely ladies from Avery Elle and my copic markers, plus some vellum and glitter paper.
Tuesday
Tuesday I pulled out my watercolor markers and this fun whimsical stamp from Flora and Fauna (plus lots of glitter pen).
Wednesday
My mermaid on Wednesday was a whole lot more dramatic than whimsical. I colored up this image from Little Miss Muffet with my colored pencils.
Thursday
On Thursday, I pulled back out the watercolors, but my Dr. PH Martin liquid watercolors. I am so out of practice with these fun colors, but still think I was able to create something special with this The Greeting Farm mermaid.
Friday
On Friday, I had a double feature from Honey Bee Stamps. The first image I used I colored with my copic markers, but covered the background in both stamped and blended blue distress oxides.
My second mermaid wasn’t traditionally pretty, but still beautiful in her own right, just with a fun collection of copic colors.
Bonus Card
Just for peeking in here, you get to see a bonus mermaid card I whipped up. I colored these ghostly mermaid images from Recollection using colored pencils and created a haunting background with copic markers and copic blending solution.
Hope you enjoyed seeing my theme week all in one place. Let me know what theme you’d like to see for a whole week in the comments below. Until then, happy crafting.
