It’s June so that means it is wedding season. And while I personally am not worrying about any nuptials myself, the gang over at the Elizabeth Crafts Designs Blog are thinking up wedding themed projects you can use any time for any reason…not just special days of ‘I Do’.
Today I am creating some supper easy candle votives that you can whip up with minimal cost and even less time.
I started by lying some Clear Double Sided Adhesive sheets over a half sheet of 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock. I then die cut it using the Romantic Bouquet die set.
I peeled off the slick paper of the adhesive and added some Copper Rose Silk MicroFine Glitter.
I bought some candle votives from the dollar store to wrap the glittered die cut around.
Using my paper trimmer, I cut the romantic bouquet die cut down to 2.25 inches so it would fit my glass candle.
Using Kid’s Choice Glue, I adhered the die cut to the glass votive. By the way… did you know that Kid’s Choice glue adheres to glass…yep…you can adhere paper to glass using kids choice glue and it drys clear.
I repeated the earlier steps, but this time used Copper Silk Microfine Glitter as the glitter on the die cut.
Finally, I added the two left over trimmings and adhered them together onto the third votive.
Then each of these three votives can be grouped together on a table for a wedding reception. Simple and in expensive.
Thanks for peeking in on my Wedding project for any occasion. Make sure you check out the full blog post over at ECD for all kinds of wonderful wedding themed projects!
