Today Elizabeth Craft Designs is celebrating all things Easter and I joined in on the fun by creating this egg shaped Easter Card!
Step One: To create my egg shaped card I die cut to large eggs from the Elegant Easter Egg Large die set. Then I die cut the basket, little eggs, grasses, and flowers from the Spring Basket die set. I die cut everything from 90lb White Soft Finish Cardstock.
Step Two: Using Spun Sugar and Dried Marigold Distress Oxide to add some color to the top piece of my card.
Step Three: Score and fold the top half inch of the bottom piece of my card. Using 10mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive and adhere the two pieces together to create the Egg shaped card frame.
Step Four: Blend Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap Distress Oxides over the basket.
Step Five: Color the grass pieces with Twisted Citron Distress Oxide.
Step Six: Color the flowers with Spiced Marmalade and Abandon Coral. Color the center of the flowers with Mustard Seed.
Step Seven: Trace the three little eggs with a light blue marker.
Step Eight: Using Kids Choice Glue, adhere the basket, little eggs, grasses, and flowers to the card frame.
Step Nine: Using Abandon Coral Distress Oxides, stamp the sentiment from the Spring Sentiments stamp set.
Make sure you pop over to the ECD Blog today and check out all the gorgeous Easter themed projects. Trust me you don’t want to miss out on all the creativeness. Until then, happy crafting!
