EK Gorman, Pawprints on my heart hop h
Today I am playing with a fun pouch stamp and die set from Taylored Expressions and a copic colored background.

EK Gorman, Pawprints on my heart hop aI started by stamping out the bulldog and the flowers from the set.  I colored them in with my copics.
EK Gorman, Pawprints on my heart hop gI then die cut it out with the coordinating dies that come in the set.
EK Gorman, Pawprints on my heart hop bI then focused on the background.  I sketched out the dog house and fence with my pencil.  After inking in the lines with a copic friendly pen, I erased all the pencil lines.
EK Gorman, Pawprints on my heart hop cI started coloring the fence first, and used the copic markers E30, E31, E33, E35.
EK Gorman, Pawprints on my heart hop dThe dog house got colored with E13, E17, E19, and E18, while the roof was colored with E47 and E49.
EK Gorman, Pawprints on my heart hop eUsing a dot technique, I colored the grass with G20, G21, G24, and G29.
EK Gorman, Pawprints on my heart hop fFinally I colored the sky with B0000, B000, B00, N0 and N2.
EK Gorman, Pawprints on my heart hop iI adhered the die cuts onto the background and added a sentiemnt from the stamp set.  Finally I matted the image with some black cardstock and called the card finished.
EK Gorman, Pawprints on my heart hop jThank you for peeking in here today.  Be sure to hop over to Shannon’s Blog for the next leg of our hop!

Here’s our line up in case you get lost along the way.

  1. I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about this card. It’s amazing. Thank you so much for sharing how you made it. I am just getting into alcohol markers, and have so much to learn.

  4. I was going to comment on how cute your pooch is. However, once you explained how you created the doghouse and background, I have to say – “you are “pawsitively” a creative genius. It’s a work of art.
