I am not the biggest fan in the world of Valentine’s Day.  It seems like a day that people focus on doing something they should be doing every day anyway.  But my personal opinion doesn’t stop the day, nor people’s hurt feelings if I don’t participate, so I continue with the tradition.

I make cards for my family, and I make cards for my friends.  But while I craft, it is my friends that I really try to focus on because sometimes we all forget to take care of our friendship.  Sometimes we just assume they know how much they mean to us.  So today I am sharing a Friendship Valentine.

I pulled out this lovely heart bouquet stamp and sentiment stamp from Woodware UK called Love in a Box.  Then using my copics, I colored it in, trying to saturated normal Valentine’s colors.  I also used my white gel pen to highlight the stem and leaves and my glitter pen to highlight the bloom.

I trimmed the image down a little and matted the image with a piece of paper from the Wild Rose Studio paper collection Antique Library.

I used the sentiment from the same set as the image and matted it with the same paper I used to matte the image.  I popped up the sentiment with some three dimensional tape to finish the card.
