A Friendship Valentine

I am not the biggest fan in the world of Valentine’s Day.  It seems like a day that people focus on doing something they should be doing every day anyway.  But my personal opinion doesn’t stop the day, nor people’s hurt feelings if I don’t participate, so I continue with the tradition.

I make cards for my family, and I make cards for my friends.  But while I craft, it is my friends that I really try to focus on because sometimes we all forget to take care of our friendship.  Sometimes we just assume they know how much they mean to us.  So today I am sharing a Friendship Valentine.

ek gorman, white rose crafts jan. atg aI pulled out this lovely heart bouquet stamp and sentiment stamp from Woodware UK called Love in a Box.  Then using my copics, I colored it in, trying to saturated normal Valentine’s colors.  I also used my white gel pen to highlight the stem and leaves and my glitter pen to highlight the bloom.

ek gorman, white rose crafts jan. atg cI trimmed the image down a little and matted the image with a piece of paper from the Wild Rose Studio paper collection Antique Library.

ek gorman, white rose crafts jan. atg bI used the sentiment from the same set as the image and matted it with the same paper I used to matte the image.  I popped up the sentiment with some three dimensional tape to finish the card.

Make sure you are sharing all your Valentine makes over on the White Rose Crafts Gallery over on the Facebook.  Who knows, WRC might just spot and share your designs.  Until then, Happy Crafting.

  1. This is beautiful! I was just admiring that image the other day and contemplating all the different ways it could be used.
