Hey Friends! Today I am spotlighting a fun digital stamp from Kitty Bee Designs.
I have had so much fun coloring on black cardstock as of late with my new derwent colored pencils, that I thought I would share another pictorial tutorial.
I started by printing the image out onto black cardstock.
Then using white, cream, pale blue, and cloud blue, I colored in the moon, using the colors randomly so it would have a natural moon like effect.
The star was colored with Acid Yellow, Deep Cadmium and Orange.
The light parts of the owl were colored with light sand, pale brown, and mid brown. His little checks were colored with blush pink.
The dark bits of the owl were colored with brown black, dark brown and brown earth.
For his toes and nose, I used pale orange, orange, and blood orange.
Then I die cut out the owl with a round die. I also die cut out some blue and purpled marbled paper and distressed it with some black soot oxides. I also splattered the printed paper with some white acrylic paint so that it looked like stars in the sky. I also added a dark piece of printed paper to an A2 card and layered the bits.
Finally, I heat embossed some white embossing powder onto some black cardstock a sentiment that I thought worked nicely with the owl.
I hope you enjoyed this fun little card. Make sure you check out all the fun different things Kitty Bee Designs have to offer, from their cute original digital and clear stamps to their bi-weekly challenge group!
