There is still time to play with the current challenge happening over at Cupcake Inspiration Challenge. It is a color challenge centering around not a couple of colors, but all pastels colors…so pick your favorites and start crafting.
This week we are sponsored by Stamplorations who is offering a $20 gift certification to one random particpant, so if you needed a reason to play along…there it is.
I am playing with the gorgeous floral stamp In Bloom: Blissful Blossoms this week from Stamplorations. I know what you are thinking…you are stunned to see me playing with the terrifying floral image, but this pastel challenge was just asking for some flowers, and this stamp set is seriously gorgeous.
I am trying something a little different here for me, so let me know what you think. For the card, I stamped out the image in some tree branch archival ink onto some watercolor paper. Then using some metallic watercolors, I painted the image.
You can’t really see it here, but the card has such a great reflective quality even with my loose painting. I stamped out a simple avery elle sentiment in the same brown archival ink.
Then using, a Tim Holtz die, I cut the intricate paper and laid some printed paper under it, using 3 dimensional tape to pop up the watercolor paper.
I can’t wait to see what you do with this week’s fun pastel color challenge. Till then, happy crafting!
Wowzers. This is fantastic. So much to love. Your looks watercoloring. Your use of that TH die. Backing it with PP. And a beautiful photo too.
