So Tuesday was the first day of Spring…
…and after years of living in Sunny San Diego, but now after a season of winter on the East Coast… and snow…and cold, and heavy coats, I welcomed the beginning of string.
And then yesterday…this happened. 5 inches of snow fell from the sky on the second day of school.
So in protest, I thought I would make a card as an absolute homage to Spring using Evaney’s Stamp Designs new dies set Dig It.
I die cut out all the images out using watercolor paper and then using some watercolor paint added color.
The background of the card got hit with just a touch of Distress Oxides (Salty Ocean of the Sky, and Lucky Clover and Frayed Burlap for the ground).
I always like to see if I can use a die set in new and different ways, and tried making a little bunny butt out of the tomato and tomato leaf dies? What do you think…was I successful in making the bunny?
I know this won’t bring on the spring sky any sooner, but I sure wish my garden was growing an all the baby bunnies were out driving my puppy crazy.
That wish, Can you dig it?
What a neat card. I dig it too! And, yes, it looks like a bunny! Your weather looks like what will be predicted for us Friday and Saturday. But I guess snow comes in the Spring too!
