Hey Oddballs! I am coming in today to share an art journal page I created using Oddball Art digital stamp.
I started my project by coloring in the digital image, IMG235 Whimsical Frilly Skull with Bows using my spectrum noir markers.
Then I sealed the art journal page using some washi tape.
I pulled out my Nuvo mousse and brush today to lay down initial layers of color in the background. I used Powder Blue, Cornflower Blue, Old Navy, Pure Platinum, and Lilac Lavender.
I then laid down layers of Inka Gold embellishment paste in both Haematite and Oldsilver to create a rough ground layer.
I create a rock for my skull to sit on using some DecoArt Metallic Lustre in Black simmer.
Then the whole ground layer got some Viva crackling paste in Gold. After the pasted dried, it left dried cracks in the rocks.
I smoothed out the sky by dabbing on some Distress Paint in Faded Jeans, Broken China, and Tumbled Glass. I then used my fingers to blend in the paint and smooth out the sky.
I did the same thing again under the blue with some Spun Sugar and Tattered Rose to ease in the pink section of the sky.
I then added the skull onto the rock and stamped in some ScrapBerry Stains black ink a background Tim Holtz stamp around the journal pages.
Then I added the sentiment from the same Tim Holtz stamp set. Seemed like the perfect sentiment for a girl frilly skull girl living in a world of scary skulls!
Hope you enjoyed seeing how I created this journal page. If you interested in recreating this project, or creating your own project, feel free to use the code DTEK10 in the Oddball Art Shop to get 10% off your entire purchase of digital stamps.
