There is still time to play with the current challenge over at Kitty Bee Designs by weekly challenge group, Aloha Friday.

The current challenge features the theme “In the Garden”.  What does that mean, well, simply we are looking for things you would find in the garden, such as flowers, but also things like Gnomes, Bees, Butterflies, and well, frankly, gardens.

There are two wonderful digi stamp company sponsoring the challenge this week, both of which are offering a prize to a random participant.

Sweet Escape Digis 

I decided to play with one of the digital stamps from Star Stampz and used the super cute Little Seedling digital stamp.

I printed out the digital stamp onto some thinner watercolor paper, knowing I wanted to use my Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens, and I knew cardstock wouldn’t stand up to the amount of work I was going to put into the project.  I also decided to do some no line coloring with this project, so I printed out the image in gray scale.

What transpired was a project that I was incredibly proud of.  The effect was wonderful!  I messed up a little around the mouth, and I am not crazy about the nose, but all in all, I love this project.  To finish the project off, I stamped a sentiment onto the card with a brown archival ink.
