You Are Simply Amazing

So I mainly share cards I craft here in this space, but in my real life I craft all kinds of canvases and art journal pages.  Well, today I thought it would be fun to create and art journal page and show you how I did it.  Plus, I created this page using only supplies from White Rose Crafts April Card Kit.  And just so you know, the April Card Kit is currently available for preorder.  These Kits are limited addition, get yours soon, before supplies are gone!

EK Gorman, White Rose Crafts Art Journal Page aI thought, since I don’t normally bring you pages from my art journal, you might enjoy a pictorial tutorial of how I created this layout.

EK Gorman, White Rose Crafts Art Journal Page gTo start, I gesso-ed the pages.  (the gesso is not in the April Card Kit)

EK Gorman, White Rose Crafts Art Journal Page hUsing, one of the 6×6 printed papers, I tore it up and adhered it down to the pages of the journal using some matte medium (no included, but modge podge, or white elemers glue will also work).

EK Gorman, White Rose Crafts Art Journal Page iI squished out some of the pink and green ink from the kit onto my crafting matte.  I sprayed some water into the ink…

EK Gorman, White Rose Crafts Art Journal Page kUsing my brayer (not in the kit) and some gesso I pushed back the color and the paper into the background.

EK Gorman, White Rose Crafts Art Journal Page lUsing some more of the green ink, I smushed more onto my craft matte, sprayed more water into it, and dragged the lace through the ink to stain the lace.

EK Gorman, White Rose Crafts Art Journal Page nUsing some Distress Oxide in Black Soot, I blended ink around the edges of the art journal.

EK Gorman, White Rose Crafts Art Journal Page oUsing three of the 6×6 printed papers(only two pictured here), I cut (for a previous card) the red edges off the page with the people on it, and then smudged Distress Oxides in Vintage Photo around the edges of the papers where they were cut or torn.

EK Gorman, White Rose Crafts Art Journal Page pI added some scrap cardboard under the printed pictured paper to give it a touch of hight off the page, and adhered the green stained lace to the side.

EK Gorman, White Rose Crafts Art Journal Page qUsing the stamp set provided in the card kit, I stamped two of them all over the page, one in green ScrapBerry Ink and the other in Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

EK Gorman, White Rose Crafts Art Journal Page rI then using some double sided adhesive, I added the distressed pages to the journal pages.

EK Gorman, White Rose Crafts Art Journal Page sI added a sentiment from the kit’s stamp set in black archival ink.

EK Gorman, White Rose Crafts Art Journal Page tI added a red and blue heart from the kit to the page.  I also added some of the scrap cardboard to the page.

EK Gorman, White Rose Crafts Art Journal Page uI then embellished the page using buttons, paper roses, adhesive crystals and Sparkle Blend sequins all from the kit to the page.

EK Gorman, White Rose Crafts Art Journal Page vI colored one of the wood embellishments with the red and pink ink…

EK Gorman, White Rose Crafts Art Journal Page x…and adhered it with some liquid adhesive (Glossy Accents).  Using my white gel pen, I also added some detail work to the sentiment…
