So I have been trying really hard to push skill set further and fully venture into the world of paper flowers. Not just buying them and adding them to my projects, but literally the crafting of paper flowers from nothing to something.
Elizabeth Craft Designs has some of the coolest flower dies out on the market in the line of Susan’s Garden and the are actually super easy to use. I am almost to place using these dies that I think I could maybe film the making of them to show you how easy it is, but till then you are going to have to trust me and just check out the pictures.
For today’s card I used Susan’s Garden Garden Notes Rose 3 dies to make my paper flowers. I wanted them to go into some kind of container, so I pulled out the new Spring Basket dies set, and die cut the basket out and colored it in with some Pan Pastels and trimmed off the basket handle with my scissors.
The pink rose was colored with both pink and red pan pastels.
While the red rose was colored with two different shades of red pan pastels. The roses were shaped with Susan’s 4pcs all metal tool kit and both the leaf and molding pads.
The leaves were die cut ironically out of Dusky Sky Soft Finish Cardstock and then colored with three different shades of green pan pastels. I added some extra greenery behind the roses with the Trio of Leaves die set.
To create the background, I added both Wood Effect and Relax in the Garden printed paper onto the card. Both papers were given some shadowing with N2, and N4 copic markers.
I finished the card off with a sentiment from the Little Words That Mean A Lot sentiment stamp set.
I hope you got a kick out of seeing me expanding my crafting repertoire. Like I said in the beginning, I am getting pretty close to place where I can feel comfortable putting my flowers onto video, so stay tuned for that. Till then, happy crafting!
