I am playing around today with some Evaney’s Stamp Designs new stamp set Blooming Special and some tonic gilding flakes.  There is a somewhat distressed look about this card that I find utterly special!

I stamped out the sentiment with some cornflower blue Archival ink in the center of some cardstock.  Then I started stamping out the flower with versa fine ink and ranger’s sticky embossing powder.  I added some sunkissed copper gilding flakes to the sticky embossing power and let the flakes do their thing.

I did the same thing with the leaves, but this time used the silver bullion gilding flakes and touched up the roses with the silver as well.

Finally, I trimmed up the card and added a black matte to the back of it before adhering it to an A2 card frame.  Like I said, the card has a bit of a distressed look, but I love the shine the flakes give off!
