Christmas Tag Challenge 2

I am back with five more tags inspired by Tracey Mcneely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  Hope you enjoy the bunch!

Day 6

Day 6:  I was really inspired by Amy Kollings chalk board style card.  But really inspired me was the plaid plate she had lying under her black and white tag.  The red and black plaid looked amazing with the tag, so I pulled some paper to recreated the look!  I white embossed some accessories from a Penny Black Christmas card and stamped a sentiment from Recollections.

Day 7

Day 7:  Jeanne Jachna’s stunning pink and gold snowflake was the inspiration for this tag.  I ironically don’t own a large snowflake die, so I pulled out this six point star die set and layered the card stock.  Then die cutting some small snowflakes from metallic gold paper, I created the rest of the card.  A little bit of gold sparkle pen and a couple of gold crystals finished off this card.

Day 8Day 8:  These cute little holiday critters were inspired by Mendi Yoshikawa adorable collection of holiday critters.  Her tag was backed with this great black and white polka dot card stock.  I didn’t have any, but thought this black and white holiday paper created the same feeling.  I die cut the tags with Craftin Desert Divas Mix it Up dies and stamped the cute owls from CDDs Owl-adays stamp set.  I blending some shaded lilac distress ink onto the white card stock and colored the owls in with my copics.

Day 9Day 9:  I was inspired by Lisa Bzibziak’s gorgeous tree tag layered over a traditional tag with a holiday present paper.  Lisa’s tag was very traditional holiday, but I decided to use a more whimsical feeling.  The tags were die cut from a Craftin Desert Divas die while the trees were die cut from a Poppy die.

Day 10Day 10:  My tag is a bit of a stretch visually, but was seriously inspired by Michele Ferguson’s brown and gold woodgrain joy tag.  I stamped out a gold wooden fence and added a bit more gold shine was some of my metallic watercolors.  I stamped the sweet boy out from an Art Impressions stamp set and added some snow from my liquid applique marker.  Added the joy from from a My Favorite Things die.  Finally I added the layered flower from another My Favorite Things die.

I hope you enjoyed today’s tags, and I will be back in a couple of day with five more!

  1. Now I want to use your tags as inspiration to make tags… and making more tags is exactly what I don’t need to do right now. 😉 These are all terrific… thanks for joining the 25 Days of Christmas Tags event!
