Hey everyone…I am back with day 2 of Craftin Desert Divas November Release Event. If you haven’t checked in on their Facebook Event page do so because there is so much happening there you don’t want to miss.
I have the privilege of sharing one of CDD’s new stamp sets and their brand new multi-purpose stencil. So without further ado, let’s jump right in.
Are you a fan of the ugly Christmas Sweater phanomanon? If so, CDD’s new Holiday Sweaters Stamp set is going to be the perfect addition to your collection. There are some really cute little critters in their ugly sweaters, and some really great hand written holiday sentiments in the stamp set.
I stamped out three of the cute little stamps and added a sentiment. Then using my copic markers I created a little holiday scene. I have been playing a lot lately with perspective, thus the reason these friends are in the corner…I hope this card feels 3 dimensional to you. To finish this card off, I die cut the focal image with Crazy Stitched Frame Dies, and added it to an A2 card frame.
Up next is the new stencil from Craftin Desert Divas. Up to this point the stencils that CDD has been releasing are themed, with the first being a halloween scene and the second being a create snowflake swirl that is perfect for backgrounds. However, this new stencil, the Sorted Shapes 1 stencil is a collection of basic stencil shapes that are perfect for all kinds of different projects.
I pulled out some card stock, the new stencil and some distress oxide in Spiced Marmalade and blended it through the the stencil. Now, you have to move the stencil around to fill the whole piece of cardstock, but it isn’t hard. I trimmed up the card stock a little and matted it with some olive green cardstock.
I then die cut another piece of card stock with CDD’s Fancy Frames die set and stenciled in the jagged lines with some Fossilized Amber to great the second layer. I matted this frame also with some olive green cardstock. Finally, I die cut the sentiment out from CDD’s Greeting Words Dies. These die cut words got stenciled with the small circles with someWild Honey. I die cut a second work with the green cardstock and set them behind the stenciled words slightly off center to create a bit of a shadow effect. I added a few Fall Harvest sequins.
Thanks for stopping in today, and I hope to see you back here tomorrow where I will share another new stamp set and die from Craftin Desert Divas November Release!
