There is a mini release happening right now over at Craftin Desert Divas with one new die and one new stamp set (and the more exciting part is that the die and stamp set will be avaiable tomorrow!)
Today I will be highlighting the new die borders set, Holiday Border Dies.
I pulled out two of the new Holiday Border Dies and die cut them multiple times using the Here Comes Santa Claus paper pack (I think I used four different papers for this card) and paper pieced the dies together. Then using some Wedgewood Blue, Strawberry Coulis, and Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops on the lights to give them some twinkle.
I then pulled out some watercolor paper and blended some Nuvo Mousse in Mother of Pearl and Powder Blue. Ironically, when you blend the two together it ends up being a little green, which i think works well for this card. Then I pulled out the new Sending Sentiments stamp set and stamped out a sentiment in some Red archival ink. Finally I added a border to the card using a die cut from the Inside Scalloped Rectangle Dies.
Me second card was created because I had left over Holiday Border Die cuts and construction from my first card and wanted to share them too. These were made the same way as the ones in the card above with the paper piecing and Nuvo Drops, plus a little green Stickles. I hung the ornaments and lights over the new Christmas Wishes stamp set.
I colored the stamped images with my copic markers, using a very simple color combination. I trimmed the image down and matted it with some green card stock. Finally, I lay over the new Holiday Border Dies, and I think it ended up looking really festive.
