The new stamps sets from Craftin Desert Divas September Release Event are now available in the CDD Shop. Heads up, however, a couple of sets sold out in the first couple of hours of availability….but don’t fret, they are re-ordering already! Just make sure you mark notify me when you are shopping!
I am back today to share three different projects with you from the current release, so sit back and enjoy the CDD goodness.
Up first is a card featuring both the new Zombody stamp set and the new Halloween Scene Stencil. I built up a massive scene, stamping two of the zombie images, both the skate boarder and his run away hound. Then using CDD’s Build A Scene stamp set, I added the stone walkway, the tree. the grace, and the fence (yes, lots of masking happened). Then using the new CDD stencil, I traced the house into my background.
I then pulled out my copics and went to town coloring this image. I found I sort of lost my zombie characters in the color, so I pulled out my White Gel Pen and outlined the little undead skater to help him pop off the card a little bit. I trimmed down the image a little and matted it with black cardstock and adhered it all to an A2 card frame.
I am seriously in love with this card. I don’t actually say that much about my work, but this one to me is special!!!!
My next project features the new Harvest Happiness stamp set. I stamped out two of the really cute scarecrows from the sets as well as the sentiment. The cool thing about this set, is the pumpkins and flowers are already built onto the stamp set, so you don’t have to go crazy with masking to make great scenes with this one!
I colored this image in with my copics and then trimmed it down and matted it with some dark brown cardstock. I pulled out a pretty fall leaf printed paper and trimmed it down. Then I die cut it with CDD’s Inside Scalloped Rectangle Die.
This little set is so happy and sweet. I am just loving these images.
Finally I have a card featuring a cast of character from the new Frightfully Sweet stamp set. This troll set is exclusive to the CDD show, like all the other sets from the CDD Troll line, so you will not find it anywhere, but at CDD.
I colored this in with my copic markers, using the same rotation of three color groups to color the image in. I then started building the background. And before you ask, the bubble effect was made using colorless blender. The big bubbles were done by dropping blender out straight from my refill bottle.
I hope you have enjoyed this release as much as we on the design team have! Come back tomorrow for a couple more projects I want to share featuring products from the new release.
