There is a new challenge over at Christmas Card Throwdown. Now before any of you panic, or think some how you missed challenge number 11, you haven’t. That challenge (for reasons that are a really long story) will follow this one…so without further ado, we give you challenge 12.
This challenge will be a stash challenge…looking for you to use up some of those gems, pearls or sequins that you have been hoarding. I am guilty of this too…holding onto sparkly little accents, especially sequins. I don’t make that many shaker cards, so I only use a couple of sequins at a time, thus the drawer full of pretty little disks.
For today’s design, I pulled out a digital stamp from Bugaboo, and colored it up with my prisma colored pencils. I pulled out some pale blue printed paper and matted the image with it, and adhered it all to an A2 frame. Finally, I pulled out a packet of sequins from Craftin Desert Divas and added a few, trying to get them to look a little like sparkling snowflakes from the sky.
Now, because I am a dunce, I forgot to pack my holiday sentiments, so I had to wing this one and hand write in the greeting. I have never been much of a fan of my handwriting, but this at least doesn’t look much like my normal chicken scratch.

I can’t wait to see what you design using those stashed away accents.

This is so soft and lovely Ek, and your sequins look like the prettiest snowflakes ever!

Very brave to hand write! It looks great though and no-one would know. It’s a very cheerful card which will make people smile. x
