You’re So Brave

EK Gorman CDD Blog 6-3.1Hey Divas!!!  EK here to show off a new card designed with the Caped Crusaders stamp set.

As many of you know, my family is in the middle of a move from the west coast of the US to the East coast.  What you may not know is that my middle daughter is struggling with the move.  However, she has been so excited about the new Wonder Woman movie, that was released yesterday in the States (and seeing a woman as a the lead in a super hero movie), it seemed only fitting to make her a card to cheer her up using the Wonder’cat’ image.

I stamped out the Wonder kitty and masked her off and then added the word bubble.  I added a sentiment fromCaped Crusaders, but broke it up into two parts (using masking) so it would fit in the word bubble.  Then, I pulled out the CDD scenery stamp set Build A Scene and added two trees, letting their trunks fall off the page.  I pulled out my copics and went to town coloring, adding a bunch of things in the background of the card.  I also grabbed a brown colored pencil to add a bit more texture to the Wonder’cat’.IMG_6166

I didn’t want to add too many embellishments, but really wanted to highlight the Wonder’cat’ so I pulled out my Stitched in Circles die set and die cut out the focal image.  I knew I also wanted a boarder around the image so it could like a little like the pages of a comic book, so I die cut a frame from some navy blue textured card stock with my Fancy Frame die set.  I assembled the card using tons of Scor-Tape and popping up the focal image with 3-D Adhesive Squares.
