Okay, I am back again today with another card featuring the new stamp pack Whimsical Wishes over at Craftin Desert Divas. For me, this little dragon was just begging to become
a little piece of art, so I granted his wished.
I pulled out the dragon and stamped him along with the “Spread you Wings” sentiment onto some good quality watercolor paper. Then, using my water reactive Stabilo pencil, I sketched out a little scene. I so wanted it to look like a little baby dragon about to fly for the first time.
I pulled out my Daniel Smith Primatek watercolors and started laying down some color. I tried to erase the Stabilo marks the best I could, all the while keeping the image dream like in it’s colors.
After letting the image dry, I pulled out my Fancy Frame Dies and die cut the watercolor paper and with the largest die. I adhered the watercolor paper to an A2 card with 1/2″ Score Tape, my all time favorite adhesive. (Well, that’s not quite true, 1/4″ score tape is my favorite, but since I was working with heavy watercolor paper, I needed the heavy duty stuff).
I know this is sort of a simple card, but just had to make that dragon his own bit of art work.

What a quirky and gorgeous stamp, love this card, it feels like an illustration from a fantasy book
