It is Sunday, which means it is FINALLY time for a new Cupcake Inspirations challenge. Oh, it feels like it has been so long since we have gotten to craft together.
And on that note, Happy New Year everyone!!! We have some new changes happening this year over at Cupcake Inspirations, most of which is just amongst the Design Sweeties. We have said goodbye to some of our Design Sweeties who are moving on to new adventures and we are excited to announce the addition of three new Sweeties, who we are so lucky to
have on board.
The other big change is we have divide our sweeties into two different teams, who will switch off every other week. One team works primarily with digi stamps, while the other team works with physical stamps. The fun news for me, is that I will be working on both teams. Yes, it will be a little more work for me, but the fun I’ll have will totally out weigh the work.
This week is a digital week as well as a color challenge (silver, white and black), and we are being sponsored by
the digi store, Bugaboo Stamps, who is generously offering a prize of four digital
stamps to one random participant.
I was lucky enough to be provided by our sponsor the JJ Calendar Months-January digi stamp. I printed the digi out onto some white card stock and trimmed it up to be slightly smaller than an A2 card.
Then I went to town coloring in the image with my copics. I used a C5, C7 and 100(black) copic to color in the dress, gloves, and black parts of the hat. Then I used the C7, 100(black) and B34 to color in her hair. I played a little around with skin tone and used the E00, BV00, and E21 to shad her skin. Finally I pulled out some Speedball silver india ink to capture the heels, balloon and streamers. I pulled out some black and silver glitter paper and adhered it to an A2 card, and then attached my Calendar girl. I choose to leave the sentiment off of the card so that it could be used for almost any occasion, not just New Years.

I want to encourage everyone to take a moment or two and go check out what the rest of the Design Sweeties came up with this week. Also, go ahead and welcome the new Design Sweeties to the team.

Fun card, EK! Great dp with the image. Thanks so much for joining the January Anything goes Challenge at Catch the Bug!
