There is a new challenge up over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown.  This week’s challenge is a stash challenge and we are trying to help you unload your “wood backgrounds” this week.  Your backgrounds can be paper, literal wood, or even a wood grained stamp.  The choice is your, we just want to see what you can do!

I am using a piece of wood grained paper for this challenge.  Trying to keep the card simple, I choose to simply heat emboss a sentiment onto the card.  Pulling out a sentiment stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps and my stamping platform, I stamped up the card and used both green and red embossing powder.

To add a little more visual interest, I stamped some red berries and green holly and used the corresponding outline stamps to out line the images.  The card also got trimmed up and matted with some dark brown cardstock.
