Rocket Pop

Hey Friends! With American independence day just around the corner, I thought I would pull Doodles Paper Playground’s fourth inspired Sparkle Blend Mix Rocket Pop and create a fun fourth of July themed card!

To start with I blended four shades of Distress Oxides across watercolor paper to create a classic Rocket Pop ice pop theme. I used Chipped Sapphire, Salty Ocean, Candied Apple and Aged Mahogany.

I splattered the watercolor paper with droplets of water to create a broken up pattern.

To give the look a more night sky effect, I blended Black Soot around the edges of the cardstock.

I die cut firework explosions into the card stock from a Retired ECD die set and filled it with the Rocket Pop Sparkle Blend Mix.

I die cut and colored with my copics some accessories from the stamp ECD die set and adhere them to the cardstock.

I added a sentiment from an old ECD stamp set perfect for the occasion.

Finally, I adhered some red gems from the Rocket Pop blend to outside of the card to look like little red stars in the sky.

I know I am a little early, but here is to a happy independence day for all the americans who pop in, and simply a happy day for everyone else.

Let me know in the comments below what else you would use the Rocket Pop blend for! Until then, happy crafting.
