Go Bananas!

So today I am playing with the new Go Bananas Sparkle Blend mix from Doodles Paper Playground. Obviously the natural image to coordinate with this fun mix would be a monkey, but I decided to veer and use this fun banana stamp and die set from Paper Smooches.

I started by stamping the banana stamp over and over again onto some watercolor paper. I then watercolored in the images with three shades of yellow, including Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxides.

Using Glimmer Mist I sprayed and splattered the liquid ink in Spring Sunshine. Let Dry.

I die cut out one of the bananas to become the shaker pouch.

I added the die cut to the A2 card frame so it would show through the opening and filled the shaker pouch with the Go Bananas mix.

I added a sentiment from a totally random stamp set in heavy black ink. Then, using a bit of ribbon, I bundled three of the large sequins together and used glue dots to help spread them out on display.

I added a few a few of the more fun bits and baubles from the mix around the sentiment.

Finally, I added a heavy yellow distress around the edges of the whole card to help ground it.

I really think this is a fun and cheeky mix perfect for anyone wanting to make a playful project.

What image would you pair with this fun mix? Let me know in the comments below. Until then, happy crafting.
