Love Letter

So all month long most of the design team has been playing with the brand new line at White Rose Crafts Stamperia crafts supplies. I have been tacking a few other projects this months, so haven’t but had the opportunity to play with this Italian crafting brand. So today I have broken out a Stamperia stamp and stencil to try out.

For anyone who checks out my blog regularly, you know I love stencils. They are hands down my favorite crafting supply. However I have never played with a stencil such as the Stamperia By Air stencil. The whole them of this stencil is that it is suppose to be all the different things you could put on an envelope or passport. I won’t lie. This stencil had me stumped for a while. But I realized if I went with a card that looked like an envelope that could be pretty cool. So, I laid the stencil onto some heavy cardstock and using post it tape, protected myself from other openings.

I used some Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide through the bow detail.

Then using my stamping platform, I stamp both the main image and sentiment from the Stamperia Lovely Minds stamp set in Memento Ink.

I colored the image and sentiment using my Nuvo Creative Pens in an assortment of colors.

I relaid the Stamperia By Air stencil and blended a stamp onto the card using some Milled Lavender and Dusty Concord Distress Oxide.

I added a few more stenciling images and blended the edges of the cardstock with some Tea Dye Distress Oxide.

Finally, I hand stamped from the Stamperia Lovely Minds stamp set in Dusty Concord Distress Oxide. Then I adhered the cardstock to an A2 Card Frame.

So what do you think? Did my envelope card work?

What do you think of this interesting and unusual stencil? Let me know in the comments below. Until then, happy crafting.
