Holiday Snow Globe

I hope you are ready for a really fun mini holiday release because Elizabeth Craft Designs has got one! There are five new die sets designed to enhance your current ECD die collection to create gorgeous holiday crafts all on their own.

Today I am sharing the brand new Snow Globe die set and pairing it with last years Holiday Bird House die set.

Step One: Using the new Snow Globe die set, die cut several globes and bases out of both 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock and scrap cardstock. I ended up having six layers of the base and seven of the globe. Die cut the show globes accessories one time out of 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock.

Step Two: Using Kids Choice Glue, adhere some acetate to the bottom of the Soft Finish Cardstock layer and add all the other layers under it. Repeat with the base of the base of the snow globe.

Step Three: Using alcohol markers, color the base of the snow globe. I used copic markers.

Step Four: Color the accessories to the Snow Globe die set using alcohol markers.

Step Five: Die cut the Holiday Bird House die set from 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock. Color the pieces with alcohol markers. Adhere the pieces together using Kids Choice Glue.

Step Six: Using one of the negative cuts from the Snow Globe top, blend ink over the background. I used Bundled Sage, Shabby Shutters, and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxides. Spray the ink with a shimmer spray.

Step Seven: Using 10mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive, add the inked negative to an A2 card frame. Adhere the Holiday Bird House on top of it. Add sequins. Using lots of Kids Choice Glue, adhere the Snow Globe frame over the inked negative piece.

Step Eight: Add a sentiment to the base of the Snow Globe. I used an A Way With Word stamp set.

Step Nine: Adhere the base of the Snow Globe under the top. Adhere the Snow Globe die set accessories around the Snow Globe.

Make sure you check back in over the next few days to check out the rest of the soon to be released die collection. There are so many fun surprised that you just don’t want to miss out on!

Let me know in the comments below if you look forward to holiday releases each year. Until then, happy crafting!
