Today I am playing around with the brand new Watermelon Sparkle Blend pack. Since I am still in the middle of a cross country move, I am still crafting light, and do not have the proper supplies to make a cool shaker card, so today I am trying something a little different.

I started by die cutting a piece of printed watermelon paper with an embossed die.

I adhered the printed paper onto an A2 card frame. Then using a pencil, I sketched a slice of watermelon.

I filled in the meat of the watermelon sketch with some glossy accents.

I dumped a bunch of the Watermelon Sparkle Blend onto the liquid adhesive. Then I pressed the sequins firmly into the adhesive.

Using my finger, I pressed the sequins into the lines of the sketch.

I then pulled out my color pencils and colored in the rind of the watermelon.

I then stamped a fun sentiment onto a scrap of white cardstock and adhered the cardstock onto the card frame. Using a few more sequins, I added a little more bling around the sentiment.

Yes, this card is a little top heavy, but wouldn’t you just love to receive all this fun! And I think this is a really fun way to use Sparkle Blends in a different way.
