Creepy Cute Christmas- Day 12

(singing)
Dashing through the cold, in a panic rushed filled year, over all the joy, needing Christmas Fear. (Hahaha)

It’s the Final day, of a creep filled Xmas Hop, Thanks for coming by, On this the Final Stop.

We’ve had so much fun, hope you’ve enjoyed the fuss, seeing all the post, On this 12 Days of Creepmas!

Oddball Art has taken over the holidays this year, with their 12 Days of Creepmas!

And this is the final day of the 12 Day Creepmas hop.  Did you stop every where along the way?  Have you had all the fun you can?  Want one more chance to win a little bit of Christmas fun?

Looking for a reason to hop, well how about prizes…you know free stuff!  Not only am I giving away my project from today, but there is a grand prize from Oddball Art.  Does a full year (or full year renewal if already a member) of Oddball Premium Membership?  In fact, Oddball is giving away 2 of these memberships!  What does the membership get you.  It grants you instant access to every Creepy Cute Chronicles created (there are over 80 images at this point), access to each exclusive Monthly digital image, and full access to each week’s CCC digital stamp.  Normally membership costs $15 a year, (which is a steal), but you could get it for free just from hopping along!

And now for the final day of Creepmas!

IMG_E8214While this may just look like an ATC, this project is in fact 7.5×10 inches big and ready to frame!

IMG_E8150I started my holiday project by printing out four of last seasons Creepy Cute Chronicle Images CCC29, CCC30, CCC32, and CCC33.  These sweet images are now only available by joining Oddball’s Premium membership, but they are still so cute!  I watercolored these images with watercolor pencils and then fussy cut out these image.

IMG_8197I then trimmed up a piece of heavy duty water color paper to 7.5×10 inches and scraped some yellow ochre and gold paint along the edges.

IMG_8198I splattered some read watercolor spray onto the paper (cause it is creepmas after all).

IMG_E8200The splattered ink got sprayed with water and moved over the project.

IMG_E8201Using stencils and a collection of red paint, I added some more detailing in the background.

IMG_E8202Both the top edge and bottom edge of the paper had a layer of torn book pages glued down and all four edges were rubbed with a thick layer of heavy duty gesso.

IMG_E8203Next, I adhered on a hand trimmed xmas tree and my four digital images.  A thick layer of Matte Modge Podge was added over everything.

IMG_E8206When the glued dried, the tree got some detailing work with a little India ink, and an bobble on top.

IMG_E8208You can see where I added bits of detailing around the four main images to help them really stand out.

IMG_E8209I just love how the ginger skeleton is dangling from a rope.

IMG_E8210And the tangled creep might just be my favorite part of the whole thing.

IMG_E8211Finally, I think the snowman really pops since he is standing in front of the tree.

IMG_E8205I searched long and hard for the just right sentiment for this project and in the end, through this one really worked!

IMG_E8212Make sure you comment below for a chance to win this holiday creepmas project!  Let me know what your favorite part of the whole 12 days has been!

IMG_E8207Make sure you tune in on the 23rd to hear who all the winners are!

Merry Creepmas to all And to all a

PS – please don’t include me in your prize draw … international postage is way too expensive for you if by chance I was the lucky winner, it is enough of a win for me to learn new techniques and BE INSPIRED!
