So today I thought I would try a little Christmas experiment.  I thought I would do a little holiday stamping onto some Ladybug Red Soft Finish Cardstock using the new Oh the Joy of Christmas stamp set from designer Charlene Van Der Vorst.

Not only did I stamp these images out onto red cardstock, but I then tried to color it up using colored pencils and push back the red…I think I was almost successful.  The white gel pen really helped me create the effect I was going for.

I also fussy cut out the image to add to the fun of the red cardstock effect.

To assemble the card, I created a 6×6 True Green Soft Finish cardstock card frame.  I also die cut a piece of It’s Christmas Time printed paper using the Stitched Indented Square die set.  I also created a sentiment by stamping a sentiment from the Joyful Wishes sentiment stamp set and the Stitched Fishtail Banners die set.
