Are you a fan of shaker cards? Do you find them really hard to make? Do you want a couple of quick tips to make the shaker experience so much easier? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you are in the right place.
Today I am pulling out both a Jillibean Soup shaker card and Doodle’s Paper Playground Sparkle Blend pack, two things that make making a shaker card super simple. Then to spice things up for Halloween, I am pulling out some a halloween themed paper pack and stamp set.
I started with the Jillibean Soup Shaker Card Coffee/Cocoa Mug. Then I pulled out a piece of printed card stock from the Pebbles Spooky Boo paper pad trimmed to 4.25×5.5 inches.
I then traced the mug onto the back of the printed cardstock while the paper was perfectly lined up with the front of the cardstock.
I then cut out the traced mug.
Using some Versafine Black Onyx ink, I stamped out some images from the Woodware UK Halloween Fun 2 stamp set.
I filled the Jillibean Soup Coffee/Cocoa Mug shaker insert with some of the Doodles Paper Playground Something Wicked Sparkle Blends. I also trimmed another piece of printed cardstock from the Boo Paper Pad.
I then filled the stamped images and added a few drops of Nuvo Crystal Drops in Morning Dew. I also adhered one of the sequined bats onto the trimmed pieces of paper.
I love how simple, yet fun this card came out.
Depending on how you shake the card, you either get fangs…
…or the simple sentiment.
