A Field of Flowers

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs, Bloom f.JPGI hope you are enjoying the new Elizabeth Craft Designs stamp release featuring the 8 new 6×8 inch stamp sets from designer Charlene Van Der Vorst as much as I am.  Today I am popping into share a collection of cards I made using the new A Field of Flowers stamp set.

I used every stamp in this set to create this collection, so you should really get to see all that the set entails.

IMG_6833I started this set by trimming up some 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock to 4.25×5.5 inches and then using my stamping platform so I could leave the leaves and the sentiment in place for each card and just replace the flowers, speeding up the stamping process.

IMG_6834Then using my copics, I colored up each of the images.  I also die cut the cardstock using the Stitched Indented Rectangle dies and distressed two of the corners with Distress Oxides.

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs, Bloom aI decided that this flower was a poppy, so I colored it with R05, R14, R37.  All the leaves and stems were colored with YG61, YG63, and YG67.  I also used some Fired Brick Distress Oxide for the corners.

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs, Bloom bFor the Tulip card I pulled out my Y11, Y13, Y15, and Y17 copic and the Scattered Straw Distress Oxide.

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs, Bloom cI decided to treat this flower as if it was a cosmos flower and colored it in orange tones.  I used Y17, YR02, YR07.  I then colored the edges with some Mustard Seed Distress Oxide.

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs, Bloom dI treated this image as if it was a daily and colored it up with B60 and B63 as well as some Y11, Y13 and Y17 for the center of the flower.  I used some Victorian Milled Lavender Distress Oxide.

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs, Bloom eI was never really certain what flower this was, so I just decided to make it purple so I could have a really fun collection of colors to work with for this set.  I colored the flower with V91, V93, V95, and V99 plus a little Wilted Violet Distress Oxide.

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs, Bloom fMake sure you keep tuning in this week to my blog, because I am not yet done sharing projects made from this new stamp set line.  And let me know which of the flowers from the new A Field of Flowers stamp set in the comments below.  Until then, Happy Crafting.
