Elizabeth Craft Designs is releasing a brand new holiday collection of dies and stamps including a whole new group of critter dies AND a whole new line of background dies included rounded corner dies!  I am so excited.

Today I am using the new Owl die set along with the both the new stitched and fitted rounded Rectangle dies set.

I started by die cutting some White Christmas printed paper with the Stitched Rounded Rectangle die set and smaller rectangles with the Fitted Rounded Rectangle die set.  I cheated a little to make this fit the way I wanted too, and re die cut the smallest rectangle again to trim off several millimeter but yet keep the rounded corners.

Using some Aged Mahogany Distress Oxide to add a touch of color around the edges of the smaller rectangles and then adhered them together using some 3mm clear double sided adhesive.

I tried to ground my background a touch my die cutting the new Fitted Rounded Square die, distressed with some more Aged Mahogany and adhered to the background.

I also die cut the pieces from the new Owl die set and added color to it using Distress Oxides.  I used Weathered Wood and Faded Jeans for the owls body, plus some Wild Honey and Aged Mahogany.

To finish the card, I added the rectangles to a 6×6 card frame and stamped a sentiment from the new Joyful Wishes sentiment stamp set in the Aged Mahogany distress ink.
