White Rose Crafts has a special shipping event happening today and tomorrow to help celebrate the 4th of July. All you have to do is type in the code: Happy Fourth and your order will be shipped to you.
To help celebrate the event, I created a little shaker card using the new Craft O’clock Spring Bustling Chipboard Shaker Set. We know that WRC fans love their shaker cards, and this new chipboard shaker set is really a simple fun way to add a shaker element to your projects.
I started by popping out the four pieces from the set. As you can see they build up themselves to be the perfect shaker element.
Then using some paper from the ScrapBerry Zoe & Ziggy’s Adventures paper pack, I traced some paper for the background of the bottom piece.
I cut out the paper, and adhered it to the background of the bottom piece. It is okay if it is a little smaller than the balloon.
Then using some Walnut Stain Distress Oxides, I colored the string on the balloons.
I also colored the top piece with some Fired Brick Distress Oxide.
I then added a piece of acetate on the bottom of the top piece to hold the shaker bits in. I found using my craft knife worked best to trim the acetate.
I built up the layers, adhering them with some Ranger’s Glossy Accents. I also filled the balloon with some Doodles Paper Playground June Birthstone Pearl Sparkle Blend sequins.
To finish my card, I trimmed up another piece of ScrapBerry Zoe & Ziggy’s Adventures paper pack to 4×5.25 inches and adding it to an A2 card frame. I then pulled out my Kelly Creates Congratulations stamp set and traced the sentiment with the blue Metallic Jewel Brush Pen. I also added a few more June Birthstone Pearl Sparkle Blend sequins to bling up my card a bit.
Don’t forget about the special event and your free shipping. Until then, Happy crafting!
