Today starts a two week long showcase over at White Rose Crafts. Have you ever had questions about embossing? Did you know there is both dry and heat embossing? Were you aware you could emboss with a stencil?
Make sure you tune in over the next two weeks to catch all the different embossing techniques the design team is going to be sharing. And not only is there going to be lots of cool embossing projects, but WRC is also having a three part live embossing tutorial.
The fun kicks off tonight with WRC Designer Alison Heikkila over on the WRC Facebook page. Make sure you tune in at 8:30 EST tonight to catch the first live stream.
Today I am kicking off this Embossing palooza with an embossing project of my own.
I broke out my stencil and embossing pad today to create this fun stone themed card. The Studio Light MaskMM 25 created a really cool two part stencil.
Using the embossing pad and my die cutting machine, I was able to use my stencil just like an embossing folder.
Additionally, I was able to use the embossing paste from Creative Medium in Iridescent Turquoise and create a textured embossed piece of cardstock.
The two different embossing techniques created a really cool effect over each other.
I finished the project off using the ScrapBerry Magic Story stamp set, colored with copic markers and then fussy cut out. I also added some Doodles Paper Playground Peacock Pizzazz Sparkle Blend gems.
Thanks for peeking in today and make sure you pop over to the Facebook tonight to catch the first live stream with Alison. Until then, happy crafting.
