It is that time of month for the stash challenge over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. This week our stash of the month is all that recycled stuff you have laying around.
As for me I pulled out this dictionary that I have been slowly recycling for some time and peeked to see if I still had the page with the definition of Christmas on it.
Guess what, I did find it. In fact the word chrismas was the header.
I then tore up the remaining page and glued it down to a piece of 4.25×5.5 piece of cardstock with some vintage college medium from Tim Holtz.
I add a bunch of crackle gel and then sprayed down the paper with Tea Stain, Antique Linen Distress Ink Spray and some Bronze Perfect Pearls Mist.
I distressed edges with some Distress Crayon in Walnut Stain and add some stamped tree branch images from Inkadinkadoo. Finally I added a ribbon and added a few red gems to finish the card off.
My recycled project became a true mix media card, but the perfect Christmas card for the right person.
I can’t wait to see how you play with this fun stash challenge. Until then, happy crafting.
Love it! How lucky to find the right page in your dictionary. I’m getting more good ideas and now need time to try them all out. x
