There is a new theme challenge up over at 52 Christmas Card Challenge. This week we are celebrating snow globes and all their holiday glory and looking for Christmas card this week that feature a snow globe.
I ironically do not have a ton of snow globes. The only option that I have for this challenge is one stamp set from Recollections that I have literally have had for years. So I stamped out the snow globe over and over again and then added other stamped images to the snow globes. I wanted this card to remain basically a one layer card, I also created a mask for the globes.
Using Fade Jeans, Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxides I made the card have an ombre effect. I blended the darkest at the bottom and went lighter going up. I sprayed the whole card with a mist of water. Then using my colored pencil I add some detailed coloring the snow globes.
I finished the card off with a bit of red ribbon and a gem. I can’t wait to see how you play with this fun theme. Until then, Happy Crafting.
I love this different take on snow globes. A fun and different idea. x
