Miracles Happen

There is still time to play with the current challenge going on over at Kitty Bee Designs bi weekly challenge group Aloha Friday Challenge.

The current challenge is an Anything Goes Challenge w/Optional Twist: Friendly Faces (must have an image of a person/people).  So if you have a stamp or digi with a person’s face, you are good to go!!!

I missed the start of this challenge last week due to family commitments, but wanted to play with both of these images, so today you have two for the price of one!

EK Gorman, Kitty Bee Designs Aloha Friday 123 aMy first project features a digital stamp from one of this week’s two sponsors, Fabrika Fantasy. The digi, Best Friends features a very sweet little gal catching and protecting you kitty from that evil little mouse.

EK Gorman, Kitty Bee Designs Aloha Friday 123 bTo create this card, I played around with my Derwent Inktense pencils and a blender pen from Tombow.  I am really trying to play around with my coloring mediums right now and find new and innovative ways to use them.  Here I am using 80lb card stock that goes through my printer, so not naturally a surface that was intended for the Inktense pencils.  However, I think there is potential for this to work.

I finished the card off with a Tim Holtz snark sentiment sticker and a couple layers of paper after several die cuts.

My second card features this challenge’s other sponsor, LeAnns World 101.  The digi, Fawn’s Friends features a very sweet fawn surrounded by butterflies and daffodils.  For this card I pulled out my copic markers and went to coloring town.  I tried to created an ombre background, but I feel it was a little too streaky.

EK Gorman, Kitty Bee Designs Aloha Friday 123 dI finished off this card by die cutting the image and then reassembling it and adding it to an A2 card frame.  I added a sentiment to the card using another Tim Holtz sentiment sticker, this time just not a snarky one.

I can’t wait to see how you play along with the current challenge and what face you try to use.  Until then, Happy Crafting!
