Happy Fourth of July

I thought for fun I would interject a second 4th of July card, mainly because I sort of adore this die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs and after today, it is a little hard (but not impossible) to use regularly.

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs eI thought it would also be fun to hand color the die cuts instead of using colored paper today while playing with the 4th of July die set.

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs aI started by die cutting all the images out in some 85lb White Soft Finish Cardstock using the 4th of July die set.

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs bThen using my stamping platform and some red and blue ink, I stamped the flag stamp image from the Summer Fun Sentiments stamp set.

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs cThen using my copic markers, I colored in the die cut images in a patriotic colors.  The reds were colored with R17, R37, and R89.  The blue tones were colored with B21, B24, and B28.  The white tones were colored with N0, N2, N4.  Finally the rockets were colored with C5, W7, and C9 and the yellow stars with Y17.

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs dI assembled the pieces into the spots by adhered them to each other with Kids Choice Glue.

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs gNext, I die cut in hexagons out of Ladybug Red and True Blue Soft Finish Cardstock.  I used both the Stitched Hexagons die set and Fitted Hexagons die set.

I stamped the sentiment from the Summer Fun Sentiments stamp set in dark blue, and added some white dots with my gel pen.  I also added the white stars from the stamp set using some white ink.

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs fFinally, I adhered all the die cuts to the card using both the 3mm and 6mm Double side adhesive.

EK Gorman, Elizabeth Craft Designs hSo for you all who are celebrating today, Happy Forth of July.  Hope you enjoyed my little project!
