It is the start of a new theme week over at White Rose Crafts.  This week we are celebrating the not only independence day but the melting pot that says “We are The World”.  It seems only fitting since WRC carries a melting pot of countries paper crafting products that we celebrating the collection of peoples that make up America.

I made a 4th of July Inspired card today with a variety of products.

I started the card by laying down two different pieces of paper from Wild Rose Studios (out of the UK) Festive Florals paper pack onto an A2 card frame.  I thought that the red and blue paper made a perfect base for my card.

Next, using the Clear Scraps Fireworks 6×6 stencil, I rubbed some Tulip Red and Warm Breeze VersaFine Clair Ink onto some white cardstock.  On the background, I rubbed Hickory Smoke and Black Soot Distress Oxides to create a night sky for the fireworks to burst into.  Finally using some Autumn Red and Wedgewood Blue Nuvo Crystal Drops and White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops I added some details to the bursts of fireworks.

Finally, I stamped a sweet little puppy image onto some card stock from the Woodware UK (out of the UK) Dogs Life stamp set and colored it in with my copics.  Then I fussy cut it out the image and added it to my project using some Woodware 3mm Dual Adhesive Mounting Pads to pop up the image.
